Program Description

The Law Enforcement-Protective Security Operations Training Program (LE-PSOTP) is designed to provide and prepare law enforcement and military professionals with relevant skill-sets to perform and succeed in protective operations.  Law enforcement officers are often tasked with this unique mission with little or no formal training.  The 5-day, 40-plus-hour introductory training program, delivers a curriculum that is safe, realistic and comprehensive.  The techniques and methodologies are based on best practices from the United States Secret Service, Department of State Diplomatic Security Service and the Department of Homeland Security-Office of Training and Tactical Programs.  The course follows a sequential order of instructions, which includes both classroom presentations and practical exercises.

This field delivered program is available for all qualified law enforcement officers and military personnel.  The goal of the course is to provide a solid foundation that the students can build upon with real-world experience.  The course culminates with a capstone protective operation detail conducted in the local city.

Deputy Sheriff

One of the best short introductory courses I’ve taken at S.W.A.T. Roundup International.  The instructors were very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject presented.  Look forward to attending the full training program.

Scott J.

Police Officer

This course was a great refresher for our S.W.A.T. Team.  We were able to pick up some new techniques that will add immediate value to our current protective security program.  As a training officer, the course reinforced the techniques that we currently use are consistent with best practices in protective security.

Federal Officer

The Law Enforcement Protective Security Operations Training Program (LE-PSOTP) utilized practical exercises to affirm lessons taught in the classroom.  The course content was extensive; however, the training cadre’s knowledge and experience maximized the allotted time and ensured all students had a thorough grasp of the core fundamentals.  No student leaves the class without an enhanced sense of awareness and knowledge.
