Christopher E. West

Senior Board Executive

Christopher Eugene West, a distinguished military leader hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, served as a Regular Army Officer in various capacities, including Fire Direction Officer and Company Executive Officer. Following his active duty, he transitioned to the Army Reserve, where he held roles such as Battalion Intelligence Officer and Company Commander. West returned to active duty in 2001, undertaking significant responsibilities such as Public Affairs Officer in Afghanistan and Secretary of the General Staff. Notably, he served as Chief of Public Affairs for the 143D Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) in Orlando, Florida.

West's extensive military education includes courses from institutions like the United States Army Command and General Staff College and the Joint Special Operations University. Complementing his military career, he pursued civilian education, earning degrees from institutions such as Webster University and the University of Maryland. West's accolades include prestigious military awards like the Legion of Merit and civilian honors like the President of the United States Bronze Medal for Volunteerism.

Furthermore, West is an active member of numerous collegiate, military, and professional honor organizations. He has received recognition for his exemplary service, including the Bronze Telly Award for outstanding public service programs and the United States Army Reserve Scoop Brumsfeld Journalism Award. Currently, he continues his pursuit of knowledge by working towards a Master of Divinity degree from Andersonville Theological Seminary.
