Position Summary


Wynn Solutions Group Training Directorate is seeking qualified part-time adjunct instructors to teach executive protection courses. Teaching assignment(s) may include any of the curricula-approved courses with the protective services programs. The adjunct instructor in this position will plan, organize, and teach classes as assigned.  Flexible hours, day, evening, and weekend courses and assignments may vary due to enrollment. Training programs are conducted in a classroom environment and outdoors in the heat, cold, and humidity. Training typically starts on Sunday, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.          

The position is filled on an as-needed basis and is an ongoing recruitment.  A submitted application will remain active for four months and are available for the Director of Training to review.  If selected, the applicant will be notified for an interview.  Teaching strategies will be incorporated to foster student learning, success, and retention.  The adjunct instructor will work with other staff in support of curricula improvement as appropriate to promote students' success and mastery of the course and program competencies.

 

The Adjunct Instructor will provide expertise and knowledge that supports the Wynn Solutions Group curriculum and programs. The instructor must be qualified as a subject matter expert (SME) in the areas of protective services through education, practical experience, and certification.  Only those candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted.

Minimum Qualifications

 

For consideration, an applicant must possess ONE or more of the following:

​

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college and four years of operational experience in protective services; OR

​

  • Five years of instructional experience in protective services (government | military | private); OR     

​

  • Attended and completed a certified 40+ hours training program in adult learning and instructional techniques, and four years of operational experience in protective services; OR  

 

  • Have completed and graduated from an approved protective services course, dignitary protection, or executive protection training program--consisting of at least 70 contact hours. The following organizations and training programs are approved and accepted by WSG:   

 

  • U.S. Secret Service

  • U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Service

  • NCIS Protective Services Training Program

  • U.S. Army CID Protective Services Training Course

  • FLETC – Protective Services Operations Training Program (PSOTP)

  • DHS|OFTP Protective Security Operations Training Program (PSOTP)

  • U.S. Marshal Service Judicial Security Division

  • U.S. Capitol Police Protective Services Division

  • CIA Protective Operations Training Course 

  • Galvin de Becker and Associates Executive Protection Training Program 

  • Wynn Solutions Group: Executive Protection Agent Career Training Program (EPACTP)

 

Additional Requirements

 

  • 25+ years of age

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have the  authorization to work in the United States

  • Must submit to and successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation

  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated if prior military

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities


The adjunct instructor shall be responsible for the following:

 

  • Teaching assigned classes with the Lead Instructor. 

 

  • Helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content.

 

  • Assessing student learning outcomes.

 

  • Continuing professional development utilizing current technology in the performance of job duties.

 

  • Maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position.

 

  • Assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the Program Manager.

 

  • Fulfilling other duties and responsibilities of an adjunct Instructor as outlined in the WSG Instructor Handbook.

 

  • Serves as a subject matter expert in the identification, design, and development of curriculum for teaching entry to advance level skills for protective services and other specialized WSG programs.

 

  • Instructs and creates instructional support materials using a variety of training methods and delivery options including classroom, lab exercises, field experiences, and simulations.

 

  • Plan, develop, and use a variety of teaching methods and materials that assist students in meeting course objectives and which are appropriate for students with differing educational and experiential backgrounds and learning styles.

 

  • Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives and inform them of their progress in the course in a timely manner.

 

  • Keep accurate student records and submit related reports and forms within requested timelines.

 

  • Teach courses at a variety of times and locations in response to WSG's needs.

 

  • Demonstrate competence and interest in the use of technology in the classroom and willingness to explore new instructional methodologies.

 

  • Uses appropriate assessment methodologies including examinations and practical hands-on proficiencies.

 

  • Maintain professional relationships with students, managers, and colleagues.  
     

  • Maintains and emphasizes safe working conditions and ensures adherence to established policies, procedures, and practices.
     

  • Design and develop course curricula and lesson plans and deliver training using a variety of teaching methodologies and media as it relates to protective services.

 

  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
     

  • Understand and comply with Wynn Solutions Group policies and standards for workplace health and safety.

 

  • Solve problems and use good judgment.
     

  • Function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
